Recent study by Fenton et al (2002, 2005) revealed that though Black Africans in United Kingdom are the most highly educated people among the British Minority Ethnic groups, they are the most economically disadvantaged with very low employment rate.

This lack of opportunity could be attributed to the lack of key life skills such as assertiveness, communication, negotiation, presentation skills among others.
